November 19, 2002 -- The first annual Digital Independent Film Festival (DIFF) will be held in Honolulu, Hawaii May 1st through the 3rd, 2003. What's the DIFF? The DIFF is the first festival to offer all entrants a guaranteed exhibition of their film. In most film festivals thousands of filmmakers enter their films only to have most of these films rejected. Bill Corless the founder of the DIFF, and a filmmaker himself, decided there needs to be a festival where all filmmakers are valued and appreciated. "A lot of effort goes into making a movie, and that effort should be rewarded by giving those filmmakers a chance to be seen and heard." Corless said. Only the top 10 films judged will be shown at the festival in theatres this year, however all films submitted will be offered to the public in DVD format, AND all films we be available on the internet at InstaMovie.com a co-sponsor of the festival.
